What are transactional emails?

Transaction emails notify the status of a transaction that the user has initiated. This can include:   

  • Payment notification (success, failure, escrow, pending, etc.) 
  • Transit notifications (packing, shipping, delivery, etc.) 
  • Refunds 
  • Renewal updates or reminders  
  • Order / subscription confirmation  
  • Reset password and more… 

What is the difference between Marketing emails and Transactional emails?

Marketing Emails are initiated by brands/companies to attract users’ attention toward their products/services. In contrast, Transaction Emails are sent in response to the activity undertaken by the user.
